Do You Qualify?
Research shows that participation in medically supervised physical activity after a cardiac event can lower a person’s future risk of a heart attack, as well as help them live longer than a patient who does not participate in cardiac rehab. The chances of survival improve for those who participate in these life-saving programs.
A physician referral is required to participate in a cardiac rehab program. Our staff can contact your cardiologist on your behalf for approval and an order if you qualify for the program. Your cardiologist or primary care provider can best determine if and when you are ready to begin.
You may be a candidate if you have experienced any of the following:
- Recent heart attack
- Angioplasty and/or stent
- Heart bypass, transplant, or valve surgery
- Stable angina or chronic heart failure
