CHRISTUS Health expands access to specialty care in Port Arthur

A new multispecialty clinic is now open in Port Arthur, expanding the CHRISTUS Health footprint in southeast Texas. The new clinic brings more high-quality, comprehensive care closer to home for residents in the mid-county area.

The new clinic offers patients access to expert care in interventional cardiology and orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. It’s located at 3500 Hwy 365, Suite A100 and is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Two new doctors are available to see patients: Dr. Leonard Thome, an interventional cardiologist and Dr. Kristine Banks Dahl, an orthopedic surgeon with CHRISTUS Health. Both experts bring years of knowledge and experience to the community.

“CHRISTUS Health opened this clinic to bring comprehensive specialty care to the mid-county area,” Thome said. “My personal goal is to make sure patients have access to the highest quality cardiovascular care close to home, where they can feel supported and understood throughout their health journey. I’m thankful CHRISTUS has welcomed me to the team to be a part of this exciting expansion.”

Cardiology services available at the new multispecialty clinic include evaluations and electrocardiograms (EKG), while orthopedic services include injury evaluation, casting, splinting and joint injections.

Dahl said she is excited to join the CHRISTUS team to provide advanced orthopedic and sports medicine care in the Port Arthur community.

“I have a very patient-centered approach,” she said. “I’m focused on helping patients recover fully, prevent future injuries and return to the activities they love with confidence.”
